Zelgadis in Wonderland
The camp fire was burning brightly as our little group of travellers settle in for the night. Xelloss had left to anwser a call from his master, Gourry and Lina fought over the last bit of food, Amelia was writing a new justice speech and Zelgadis was reading a book, so all in all it was a pretty normal scene. The little group slowly began to fall asleep leaving the chimera on first watch. Being wide away anyway Zelgadis hadn't actually argued so he continued to read his book and sip some coffee. Suddenly the book was snatched away.
"My, my what are we reading Zel-kun?" That damn trickster priest!
"None of your business!" Zel desperately tried to grab the book back only to have the mazoku float just out of reach and start to glance at the book.
"Well Zelgadis! I never knew you liked such a cutesy story! Alice in Wonderland. I've read this before. That cheshire cat is great ne?"
"Elmekia Lance!" Xelloss hit the ground and began to twitch.
"Zel... you're such a meanie! Again... please?" The mazoku almost purred from the intense pain.
"Don't tempt me... namagomi fruitcake! Never touch my books again!" Zel wrapped his arms protectively around the book and left to the still twitching priest on the ground. He sit down a few feet away leaning against the base of a tree and began to read the story again. He began to yawn. Reading and blowing up mazoku really drained a guy. A shadow fell down upon him.
"Go to sleep Zel-kun... have sweet dreams. I promise you a nice little world you can get lost in and explore."
Zelgadis shivered. The mazoku was standing in front of him and was acting creepy. His bangs covered his eyes and a twisted smirk was on his lips. Not to mention the powerful sleeping spell he was now casting. "What in the hell are you doing Xelloss?"
"You'll see soon enough... sleep Zelgadis." He touched the frightened chimera on the forehead and instantly Zel was asleep. Xelloss was almost jumping with excitement. "I've had this pocket dimension ready every since I saw you reading the book a few days ago. We are all in it in some form. All I need is an Alice." He carassed Zel's cheek. "You'll do nicely my beautiful chimera." With a snap of Xel's fingers, Zelgadis was in a small blue dress with a white apron. In his hair, was a black ribbon. To complete the outfit, Xel added knee high white stockings and little black shoes.
Xelloss chuckled. "Kawaii Zel-kun. My little chimera has grown up to be a beautiful young lady!" He quickly opened the pocket dimension and placed the sleeping chimera under a tree. "You know what to do." He signaled to the white rabbit who smiled stupidly. Xel began to wonder his thought process. "Why did I choose Gourry of all people for the rabbit?" He rolled his eyes and rubbed his head. "Oh well. Enjoy your story Zel-kun." He kissed the the chimera softly on the lips and disappeared. Zel slowly opened his eyes.
"I fell asleep? Oh man Lina is going to kill me." He looked around. "Wait a minute! This isn't the camp site! Where am.... I?" Zel looked down. "Oh L-sama! Where are my clothes?" Zel was found himself having trouble breathing. A white object zipped by him causing him to blink back into reality.
"I'm late! I'm late! I'm late! Am I late?" The white rabbit stopped and scratched his head as he looked down at this pocket watch. He looked up and saw Zel was awake! He smiled cheerfully. "Hello! Ack! I'm really late! No time for talk! Bye!" He ran a ducked into a hole.
Zel blinked. "Gourry? Wait! Gourry come back! Where are we?" Zel got up and ran to the hole ducking down to crawl into the darkness. Then the ground disappered. "Gourry where are... yooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuu! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
Just then, a chuckle was heard from a nearby tree followed by an amused purr. A cat looking very much like Xelloss smiled mischievously. "Now the fun begins." He laughed as he slowly vanished.
